1. Fitbit batteries die. That’s just a fact of life. I’ve lost count of how many times I’ve had to replace one of mine (the original one that came with my Fitbit) because the little bastard won’t hold a charge anymore. And so, as I mentioned in an earlier post, I got myself a new Fitbit. But wait! My new one doesn’t come with a charger! What am I going to do? It’s already been three days since I put the old one in the mail and I’m starting to worry. I’ll tell you what I did.
2. Battery charger! How does it work? Well, when you first get your Fitbit, it will ask you to go to “setup” to configure it. When you get to that screen, there will be a link that says something like “Learn More About Your Fitbit”. Click that link and you will discover that it is, in fact, a link to a page that explains how to use your Fitbit. But, there’s a little more to it than that. On that same “Learn More” page is a link that says “Start Tracking Your Activity”.
Once you click that link, your Fitbit will immediately start tracking your activity and sending data to your wrist device. But, you know what? That link won’t be on the “setup” screen. Nope. You’ll have to scroll down to reach it. And, even then, it won’t be “Learn More…” but rather it will be “Start Tracking Your Activity…” Which brings me to another important point: If you are at all confused or uncertain about anything to do with your new Fitbit, just ask your friendly neighborhood Sparky! I’m sure he’ll be happy to explain everything to you in great detail… and… probably for free!
