I’m going to teach you how to find the very best clients on earth… and… how to get them to pay you top dollar for your services.
And, I’m going to do this by having you do work you love… and… getting paid for it!
Here’s why it works: You see, there are many people in this world who are so good at finding clients… they can waste as much as 90% of their time on marketing and only 10% on actually providing the valuable services their clients need.
Not you. No way. You’re different. You love your work… so… you’ll give it your all. This will shine through in everything you do… including… your marketing efforts. You’ll become a walking, talking credibility badge for the value you provide.
Plus, by doing what you love, you’ll be a joy to work with. Your enthusiasm will rub off on your clients, making them more likely to pay you top dollar for the work you are doing for them.
Sound good to you? If so… let’s get started!
1: Find Your “Big Idea”
As I mentioned last month, the first step in this process is to find your “BIG IDEA”. What is this one idea that is so compelling it would make almost anyone pay you top dollar for your help?
I believe every single person in the world has a special talent or skill which is vital to the success of some project… or… business. It could be writing, speaking, art, science… whatever. The important thing is…
It Is Something You Are Vastly More Talented At Than Anyone Else On Earth!
In my opinion, everyone has at least one such skill. I believe it to be an almost iron-clad law of human nature. Now, the tricky part is…
Finding Out What This Is!
There are many ways to go about this. One way would be to get yourself a notebook and a pen or pencil… and then… start a list of everything you can think of which is important to the success of some project or business.
Don’t worry if your first draft is rather sloppy. That’s the way your initial ideas usually are. Just keep adding to your list until your list starts to thin out. At that point, you should start to get an idea of what your BIG IDEA might be.
Here are a few more ideas to help you:
What skills do you have which are vital to the success of your current or future projects?
What are your special talents or skills… which, for some reason or another… people have always seemed to value?
What skills and talents would you like to develop? Which would make you a better person (in general) and maybe a more valuable employee?
What are your passions? Your true soul-deep, core-level, bone-deep feelings about things which give you great joy and satisfaction?
You may find it helpful to ask yourself some or all of the following questions:
Who or what in my life has helped me achieve the most success?
What would I like to be remembered for after I’m gone?
What is the one thing I could do today which would make the most difference in someone’s life?
What would I do if I knew I couldn’t fail?
What is the one thing I could do today which would make the most positive impact on someone else?
What would I do if no one was watching?
What would I do if I wasn’t paid for doing this?
What would I do if I was trapped on a desert island with only one tool to work with? (The one tool I’d choose is my own natural talent or skill.)
What is the one thing I could do today which would make the most difference in the world?
What is the one thing I could do today which would make the most positive difference in someone else’s life?
What would I do if I was broke?
What would I do if I was given the choice to live forever… or… to do something I really love which would end in 30 days?
What would I do if I knew I couldn’t fail?
What would I do if I was trapped on a desert island with nothing but a radio and one book? (The one book I’d choose is the “Bible.”)

Okay, after you’ve come up with your initial list of ideas, the next step is to start eliminating those items which are not vital to the success of your project. You can do this by simply asking yourself “Could this possibly be important?” If the answer is yes, go ahead and keep it on your list. If the answer is no, cross it off your list.
Keep doing this until your list starts to get really short. At that point, you should have an idea of what your BIG IDEA might be. Go back over your list and ask yourself “Is there anything more we can eliminate?” “Anything less we can add?” “Anything else we can shift around?”
